Warranty items eventually get fixed, they're just slow. We had a frozen pipe due to poor insulation in an upstairs bathroom back in January. I filed the warranty item immediately, was sent a plumber (who said the problem was insulation, which I already knew), got an appointment with the insulators who missed the appointment. When I checked the warranty ticket again, it was closed. I created a new ticket asking again for the insulation team, they're scheduled for first week in April. So, two and a half months to fix a frozen pipe. I'm sure it will get fixed eventually, it's just a little slow. Thankfully we haven't had cold enough weather to freeze the pipe again.

We liked everything from the initial sign up to closing home. Everybody is so nice. Special thanks to [name removed]???? from the Community Manager and Isaiha [name removed] Construction Manger.

The attention to detail was lacking. Things didn’t get done well in the first place and now we are paying for it in the warranty phase.

I’ve disliked the lack of communication regarding updates to outstanding warranty items, a lack of vendor oversight, and lack of follow up from the customer care team

To clarify we purchased the home after another family had made all the decisions on the home layout, appliances, flooring, backsplash, etc. So we did not experience the whole process like other buyers. We are very fortunate that their taste coincide with ours. [name removed] was the salesperson at the time when we were introduced to Epic/New Homes. He was informative and wonderful to work with. The purchase experience has been uncomplicated. We had the opportunity to interact with the Design Center team - I asked to meet the designer who had worked with the previous buyer. She was delighful. One recommendation in regard to the Design Center is the ability to check out samples. That currently is not an option.

During construction the builder was not as responsive to identified issues as I'd have liked. Things like sprinkler drain valves installed upside down or return vents that needed to be moved due to code.

Love the design of the home and our location. Dealing with Titan has been pretty rough. Waited almost 10 months for them to fix items after multiple promises made by them but then not showing up. [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] have been great to work with.

Dealing with Fergusun Appliance has been frustrating. We still do not have a hood vent cover above our stove and we closed on January 17th.

[name removed] was responsive during construction. As a quality inspector for a living I felt like some big things were overlooked or missed and I’m dealing with those issues now.

Quality of floor install is disappointing. Lots of buckling on planks and scratches. Took over 11 months to get them removed and replaced. Took a whole new staff to get the warranty repairs done.

We have still not had our initial walk through items completed almost 1 year ago. Epic needs to validate the contracts they sign with homeowners

We aren't missing anything major, but several pending items for our house are not complete. We are missing cabinets, a ceiling fan, paint in a few places etc. We had a tight move-in window, which was much more important than the missing items. We *love love love* our floorplan. It's a ton of space, focused in the correct areas of the home that we use. It's a shame that NHC will stop building homes at this price point, the floor plan is really great.

Was not told everything at contract. Quality of construction was poor. Communication through building process was awful. Had to babysit construction supervisor to make sure things got done. VERY slow to deal with issues. Supervisor hid issues he knew or should have known about from us hoping we wouldn't find them. Made to feel bad about wanting quality - expected to accept shoddy workmanship. Lied to about a number of issues. Repairs were substandard. WAY too many issues left for warranty that should have been dealt with by construction. Your construction supervisor is a lying used-car salesman who tries to get away with building a house as quickly as possible regardless of quality.

The home is beautiful. The orientation was painful, it took 4 hours to note all the items needed to be addressed before closing. A large number of the items from the orientation walk through were not complete at closing and we are still waiting for many of them to be done nearly 30 days after close. For example, we didn’t have a functioning fridge for a week after close and one of our wall controllers for one of the garage doorIs still doesn’t work at all / About 2/3’s of the paint touch ups still need to be addressed / Still waiting on the wrong light fixtures in the entry to be replaced and for fixtures to be installed in the dining area /Under cabinet lights still don’t work / etc. [name removed] was great but he’s gone, [name removed] has been good. It appears [name removed] is committed to get our items wrapped up but needs help. He’s also closing homes and we’re getting pushed down the priority list. Everything outstanding could have and should have been done before closing.

Like- the ability to customize several items, such as fridge location and bonus room half wall. Also the high quality of standard items. Dislike - the lack of communication after closing and how some of our comments/issues were brushed off and not addressed.

MOST RECENT 20 HOME OWNERS' VERBATIM COMMENTS - 5-6 Months after Move In
Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers
