No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

The initial purchase decision was well handled. But the loan process, rate lock and closing was very mishandled due miscommunication between the loan officer and the grand homes office staff because of which I had to go through the process of paying penalty of rate lock vs choosing the worse rate, extension of closing and several very anxious calls and meetings with the team to bring them together. [name removed] and [name removed] were helpful and patient with the process. I just wished that the mortgage side and the grand home side would have worked together to avoid the unnecessary complication that arouse with closing and mortgage. The hands on maintenance and construction team namely [name removed] has been very helpful at each and every step, very prompt, responsive and present with fixing every mechanical and structural issues. It has been a great relief to have such kind of support from grand homes for the initial move in. Thank you !

I liked the overall quality of the home and how grand pays special attention to the overall effeciency. What I did not like is that every thing was rushed into, fro the contract to drawings to finalizing thing, there was not much time to think

We’re very much delighted by his dedication and efforts, and meeting all of our requirements. First contact with Grand Home was [name removed]. She was well easy to talk to. She listened and understood what we were looking for in a new home. After she left we had the pleasure of working with [name removed] and she too was delightful. Working with [name removed] was not a good experience. I’m am thankful we were given [name removed]. He is an absolute joy! He was willing to answer questions, met at the house about questions and fixed problems that were issues created from Mr.Cook. Your company is very very fortunate to have Mr. [name removed] working for you. He is a talented, educated and personable individual. He has impeccable customer service skills and knowledge of your product. I would have him build me a home again.

Likes about our first purchase Experience with Grand Homes: 1. Communication: Clear, timely, and transparent communication from all parties involved 2. Efficiency: Quick responses to queries, prompt processing of paperwork, and adherence to timelines can make the experience more positive. 3. Professionalism: Competent and courteous service from professionals involved in the process can build trust and confidence. 4. Information Provided: Thorough explanations of the process, contracts, and fine print. 5. I would have been twice as happy if the builder had tried to fix the cedar crack in the front elevation.

Missing items (light over fireplace) not installed. Communication between sales and construction is not good. Issues after closing with warranty rep not good very poor communication and response time. Warranty rep ([name removed]) very good and responsive. Others not good.

Grand homes employees are the best at doing their job. [name removed] was absolutely excellent during the contract phase, [name removed] was amazing at guiding us through design selections and suggestions and [name removed] made our dream home come to life in the most beautiful way. He built us a home we dreamed. We have been living in the house since a month now and have no complaints on the build quality. Con's we noticed as soon as we moved in: 1. Could have had more Quartz options during design selection phase 2. After moving into the house the very next day all our door knobs fell offf includin the main door lock. 3. Carpet needs fixing upstairs already

I loved how Ms [name removed], our sales lady made us feel comfortable and she was very knowledgeable and walked us through the process seamlessly. She bridged the gap and relationship to a great working relationship with our builder [name removed] at the time. When [name removed] left it was very difficult but she was able to bridge the gap for our new builder [name removed] and also [name removed] helped as well.

Our sales person [name removed] was amazing from the beginning! She was so friendly, extremely helpful and quick to respond to all our questions. She went above and beyond to help us create a beautiful home. Our builder [name removed] was equally amazing! We haven't seen a builder work so hard and late and with so much dedication towards a project! He was quick to respond to any of our questions and requests and went above and beyond to make sure our home was completed as quickly as possible.
