We overall like our home but we do wish HVH would have used higher quality materials in some areas, particularly carpet since that is something that is heavily utilized every day. After just 11 months in our home, the carpet is very worn down in high frequency areas. Additionally, the cabinets in the home are mediocre quality. There's lots of paint chipping and rubbing off and the wood dents so easily. The carpet and cabinet quality is very cheap which is unfortunate given how expensive buying a home is.

The sales team was great to work with and answer any questions we had and even help communicate with the lender to help that go smoother. Tom and Jay are great and I can’t say enough good things about them.

Dislike : Furnace went out in a 40 below degree weather day & when we called to get it fixed they didn’t want to come fix it when it was considered an emergency. Until management was envolver and many calls later that’s when they came to fix it

Liked: The weekly updates about our home's progress, the friendliness of everyone at HVH, the builder's willingness to let us walk through the home before it was completed, and the overall pleasant experience. Disliked: How far our move-in date got pushed back and the inability to change a few features in the home during the building process (although we do understand that these two items were more or less out of the builder's control and had to do with global supply chain issues).

I truly appreciate [name removed] and [name removed] for working so hard to follow up though I think it's not strictly in their job description. But I do hope more people will be hired to alleviate their work load and the warranty backlog.

It seems hard to communicate with the warranty department. It takes weeks to get things repaired or answes. I've had to communicate with the orientation specialist [name removed] to get stuff done. If it wasn't for her I'm not sure if we would've got the work done.

My carpets padding is trash and the warranty department has basically told me tough, it is what it is. Our stove broke within weeks of use. The sprinkler system was broken and appeared to not have been winterized. The timer installed for the sprinklers does not appear to work properly. The construction crews play music so loud that it disrupts my work from home/meetings. The house has a 20 degree difference in temperature upstairs and downstairs. And warranty is slow to react itlf at all.

My wife has been dealing with most of the warranty concerns because of work schedules, but what she has told me has been positive. I feel in a few instances warranty has gone above what may have been required and that is phenomenal. It is going the extra mile to get the job done right the first time that truly makes a difference. Only once for me has something not been fixed when it was assumed that all was good and an issue still continues. Compared to other warranty or customer service, for other developers you all are miles above the competition!! Very happy with my home and how we have been treated from the start. Bravo!!

I like how responsive they are, and when speaking to them they always make sure we understand what the problem was and how it was fixed. I dislike that our tree has been dying since we moved in June 9th 2021 and we have put in multiple tickets regarding getting it replaced with no replacement it is now fall and we have to wait till next spring for the problem to be fixed. Fingers crossed it will be.
