My kitchen floor still has dents in it. It was repaired to manufacturing specifications but still feels dents in spots when you walk across it.

I loved the customer service. [name removed] and [name removed] were super attentive and helped with every issue I had!
Haltom City, on Jul 01, 2023
I like my home and CB Jeni had enough done for me to be able to move in. But there was a lot of unfinished work/touch ups that were still left upon my move-in. It also took weeks for even the simple things to be taken care of.
Haltom City, on Nov 07, 2023
My floor was uneven in several spots. They had people into repair. However there are still uneven spots. When I spoke to [name removed] about it told me that they are with a certain amount that it is within variance. However if I can still feel by just walking over it. It’s not okay with me.
Haltom City, TX, on Nov 15, 2024
[Translated from ES] The attention of the contractor and the seller. Thank you very much.
Haltom City, on Jun 21, 2023
Was easy working with CB JENI from start to finish.

Preferred lender was terrible. [name removed] at Highlands Residential Mortgage was absolutely terrible in the lending process. Over heard similar feedback from buyers within this community about him as well. Pick a different lender for future developments. [name removed] is fantastic!! Could not get a better sales rep. She is kind, thorough, and never drops the ball.

I liked the quality of the homes, loved the promptness of the lender/builders/realtors with any questions I had. I liked the fact that after Highland Homes wouldn't finance my house (which I disliked by the way), the builders still let me use their incentives (thank you much).
Haltom City, TX, on Oct 13, 2024
Too many imperfections around the home. Looked like it was trying to be built as fast as possible instead of ensuring the quality of things were done to a T. I get not every house is “perfect” but I’m now having to go through warranty to replace a lot of things that were done very lousy.
Haltom City, on Jan 23, 2023
Getting something done for instance painting the baseboard after it has been replaced has taken months..
Haltom City, TX, on Aug 09, 2024
I didn't get the washer / dryer as part of the move-in package, only got the refrigerator
Haltom City, on Jan 16, 2023
Getting ahold of anyone was rough when I moved in. It took forever to get things done and/or fixed. Because of sloppy work up front the floor absorbed paint that won’t come off, the back splash is unsightly and my attic ladder STILL is not fixed after 6 months.
Haltom City, TX, on Jun 30, 2024
I love everything, it was smooth easy and [name removed] was amazing as well. She was so nice and took care of everything I ask. I loved her communication as well. Definitely give [name removed] a raise. She deserves it.
Haltom City, on Jan 01, 2023
Have not had any warranty service experience yet, but when moving it I was able to get all of my issues resolved. Although, some took several weeks after I moved in to get resolved, which was disappointing.
Haltom City, TX, on May 13, 2024
Pro: Friendly people who are honest and courteous. Con: my upstairs guest toilet was clogged on the first day due to construction debris.
Haltom City, TX, on Jan 15, 2024
Electrical didnt work on the day of move in, door bell Electrical still Doesnt work.

[name removed] and [name removed] were both fantastic..It was great working with them..[name removed] was very sweet and kind..[name removed] also is extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful.. I did have some last minute issues with the Highlands residential mortgage company though..On the closing day, after I signed off on all the papers I was told to pay extra $450 odd dollars which wasn't informed to me earlier.. I didnt have my check book on me as I was not told about this earlier..I had to go to the bank and get a cashiers check for it..This wasn't a very good experience for me and I was unhappy about it.. [name removed] from the Mortgage company did call me up later though and apologized for the miss at their end..

House not made well. Purchase experience was terrible.
Haltom City, TX, on Apr 27, 2023
[name removed] was great. The (builder) I started with quit a week before we were supposed to close. The guy (builder) that took over did not do what the first guy promised. Those items are still incomplete.
Haltom City, TX, on Feb 05, 2023
I am very very VERY disappointed in the quality of the build. It is very poorly done. The cabinets in the kitchen are a joke. They are cracked, uneven, not painted properly and lip sided! They were not sanded properly prior to pain application. They are chipping, there and gaps and cracks. I was SO over whelmed with how terrible they look I just want to give up. You also added an island that was added to my floor plan after I signed the contract. It was never communicated to me that my house was the guinea pig of the development. I was told after I signed my contract that my house was the guinea pig. I find that very disheartening. I’m sure you guys know how much it cost to add any island in the kitchen… After I signed my contract it was also advertised that everyone was getting a free washer and dryer and refrigerator. I pretty much got an “I’m sorry” with a shrug from [name removed]. The carpet is constantly stabbing my foot. The carpet is also very hard because the sub flooring is terrible. I honestly think there is no sub flooring and it’s plywood right under the carpet because it’s so hard. There is a huge chunk of drywall that was not done properly in my bathroom by my shower. There was a chunk of wood taken out of the top step of the stair case that is visible under the carpet. There is an actual dip. [name removed] was pleasant to work with but I feel that my concerns were not taken as seriously as they should have been. There has been black paint that has been unfinished on my garage and it looks very bad. I feel that this is a very easy fix. I also do not like that there is no Dog park or no doggy stations. The baseboards in the garage were not finished and look very bad. The garage floor was also left a mess there is paint and grime all over. The house was never properly cleaned either. I am still cleaning up construction dust, and debris. There is a piece of tile missing from my backsplash in the kitchen that was supposed to be fixed, but never was. The dishwasher looks like the door is lopsided perhaps somehow it got damaged before I moved in? Whoever turned on the oven left a piece of blue plastic and there is plastic burnt onto the front of the oven and this was there before I moved in, but was never fully removed. I don’t like how a lot of my concerns are being shrugged off like it’s too hard to fix. In the master bedroom the wall is supposed to be straight on the ceiling but it is lop sided it almost looks like a squiggly line and was not done properly. This is honestly a safety concern as my bed is right under it. My list of concerns goes on and on and would like to be contacted by someone from corporate.

When I inquired about the neighborhood, [name removed] expressed it was safe and quiet. There is a train that passes and honks several times throughout the night between 10p and 6a (every 30 minutes between 2a-5a) which makes it impossible to rest for work. My deliveries get stolen right off my front porch. The homeowners association has not done its part in the community. I understand the grounds are still under construction but that has nothing to do with how unkept the yard is with weeds growing wild trash out front that's been there since I moved in. Moving to the interior of the home, the finishes on the house are incomplete. [name removed] has been great and super helpful but when walking into a home with sloppy paint and trim finished a home buyer will notice although the builder thinks cosmetics are not a big deal. [name removed] showed me things in the model home she said would be included in my home that was not included. Lastly, there is no storage space in the home and no space at all to get in and out on my own driveway. If I had to do it all over again I would not consider this house to purchase.
Haltom City, TX, on Oct 25, 2022
Everything went smoothly and everyone I worked with made this a seamless process
Haltom City, TX, on Jun 30, 2022
We did the first walkthrough and blue typed the items needed to be fixed. By Second walkthrough noted that most of the items were not fixed. I still closed the escrow despite job is not done. As of today most items are done but some items still exist. Paint jobs. I also noticed that the AC unit is ML14XC1 is a small unit for only 600-900 square feet apartments. My unit is is 1167 square feet. It’s working but using to much electricity.
