There have been several things missed by all of the people who were supposed to do walk through before closing. When I find things after closing that I didn’t notice, I’m told it’s too bad even though so many other people missed it too. Things have fallen off, like doorknobs, and stuff like that.

Quality control is lacking in my home. When purchasing a new home, I did not expect to need to initiate warranty repairs immediately. From items that were not completed from my final walk through "tags". to things that the workers ignored and weren't noticed until trying to live in the house. When I first spoke to the office, I was assured that they paid attention to detail to produce the best product possible. Some of the things that were missed were very obvious. A few of them were repaired after the final walk-through and before close. I was appalled at the lack of quality/care in the work when I decided to tear out the carpet upstairs to put in LVP. There was a large amount of construction debris under the carpet. [name removed] subfloor was so uneven that the flooring company had to sand down the entire floor to make it even. [name removed] response I got from the office was that it didn't have to be even because they were laying down carpet. To me that just shows a lack of caring about the quality and the customer. I have a friend in the community who has commented they can feel the uneven floors while walking on carpet. [name removed] primary bathroom in my model (Manitou) was NOT well planned out. It looks pretty from the doorway, but the function is terrible. [name removed] shower is poorly placed and there is no easy way to get in/out without maneuvering around the door or the counter. If you live with someone else, they could easily hit you with the door if unaware you were in there. [name removed] counters are NOT standard height. I am of average height and I feel like a child in my primary bathroom because the counters are too tall. [name removed] secondary bathroom is the appropriate height. I was told it is my cost responsibility to change the primary bathroom counter to standard height. I have already spent some of my money after close to bring up the house to the quality I would have expected from a new build. [name removed] rest is pending under warranty repair. While I expect them to complete the repairs as requested, I just don't feel like this is something I should have had to manage the first month of home ownership with a new build. Makes me wonder how many other things will go wrong in the first year.

There were a few things that I wish were fixed or added prior to moving into the house that I've gotten push back from. When i have gotten someone out to fix something they have been nothing but professional and helpful, but it's getting to that stag that's troublesome.

They all look very similar which I'm not a big fan of. However I feel like they're built well. My home has a giant basement which is very very nice. And everyone I worked with about a year ago was rather tentative and friendly making the process that much easier and less stressful, seeing this was my first home.

[name removed] neighborhood!!! [name removed] house it self is fine. Everything else is not. In fact I might sell my house already. [name removed] HOA is a joke. They say the street is fire lanes, yet there is no sign that says so. They do not plow the road that become very dangerous even with a light snow. I would never recommend this home to anyone.

Warranty service has always been quick to respond and resolve issues that fall under its umbrella. [name removed] has been very helpful and friendly to work with on our requests. However, there’s a lot of uncertainty about what actually falls to warranty and what doesn’t. For instance, there was a fist sized hole in our cement that was found days after moving in, which warranty said they wouldn’t fix. We also submitted a request about the front lawn installation because the center of it never took. That installation was owned and completed by [name removed] [name removed]. They replaced all the lawns that didn’t take near the center of the neighborhood, but ours was passed off to [name removed].

I’ve sent in a work order a couple months ago for my garage clicker, the whole under my driveway that is now cause a leak into my basement, and my side yard gate does not close properly causing my dog to run out when the wind blows it open and no one has contacted me about it yet.

Entire process went pretty smooth. We were living out of state while the house was being built so we relied heavily on updates from the sales manager. She was always available for any questions and sent weekly updates to us.

I was disappointed that Aspen View's leadership (specifically Chris Kuhlmann) refused to reasonably work with us relative to our lender as we were not using AV's preferred lender. This put a very bad taste in my mouth and I considered writing a XXXXX hing review. This refusal to even offer the most modest of concessions or incentives reflected VERY poorly on Aspen View and reinforced the oft-meritorious criticism that builders are simply in it for the bottom line. Horrible customer service by Chris. He's a detriment to your company. Not impressed. However, because Kristine's (she's wonderful), Blake's, Mitch''s and others professionalism and commitment to the tremendous customer service acumen Chris sorely lacks, I chose to instead forgo the 1-Star Google/Yelp, etc. reviews and put in a good word for the rest of your excellent team.

I really liked the team who did walkthroughs and kept me up to date on everything. Special shout out to blake! Only thing I didn't really like was that the preferred lender couldn't lend to me even though I initially went with them, so I had to get another lender. But Aspen View Homes didn't give me any discount or money towards closing even though I tried.

Very disappointed, when we did the walk through the people conducting it didn't really care about what my spouse had to say as she pointed out the many flaws in craftsmanship and quaility of work. A fast response we would get is, "this isnt a custom home" when she would point something out. They would make excuses and not pay much mind to her concerns. Passive comments occured when my wife around. For example, I let Jake know she is detail oriented and he replied with he has an autistic child. Odd reaponse and lets me to believe he was insinuating my wife has a mental disability for pointed out all the poor qaulity and lack attention to detail. We were advised also by Jake to let him know about deficiencies and not submit a ticket until he gave the okay. He told is time and time again he is our "advocate" but things haven't been fixed.

We didn’t have a closing date till about two weeks before we were expected to close. Getting this information so late left us unprepared and also didn’t allow us to lock in a previous rate. We have been in the house over a month and it’s still not complete. We are being told that deviations from the normal house construction are to be expected. Some examples of this are: wire shelves and huge dips in the basement floor foundation. We were never given information about the HOA nor did we receive our trash can till we were in the house for three weeks. I told the people handling the HOA I only have my phone and they still directed to the site that is only computer friendly. We didn’t get a “private residence” so we were repeatedly blocked in our driveway. The rep Jake came to our home and noticed more things that needed fixing and he promptly put in tickets for.

There is an incredibly long wait for anything to be repaired. I do not like that the guys that made the mistake/poor quality build in the first place are the ones coming to fix it.
