I have really enjoyed working with [name removed] and previously [name removed] as they have both been super responsive to service requests. I do feel the quality of finishes and materials are quite bad. I have had two major water leaks, electrical issues and the paint used is so cheap I likely will have to repaint the interior of the home in under 18 months. I appreciate the customer service after the fact but the attention detail in the build and materials in my opinion was quite bad.

I have said this previously that I thought the quality of finishes was subpar. Paint that is peeling off the walls and doors, scratches on countertops and cabinets etc.

1.There are gaps between floor and baseboards. Upon discussing this issue with the builder, I was informed that gaps measuring less than 1/8th of an inch are considered acceptable. Nevertheless, the numerous gaps XXXXX tered throughout the house, despite being within the acceptable range, significantly detract from the overall visual appeal. 2. Water infiltrated through the main door during the rainfall last month. 3. The keys doesn't open the lock on the main door, though it works fine for the other doors. 4. Garage door makes huge noise initially while opening as if something is falling apart. 5. There are uncaulked gaps between the cabinets and walls that are affecting the overall appearance. When I inquired with the builder, I was informed that caulking between these gaps is not part of Trophy's standard practice. However, I've noticed that some of the gaps have been caulked. The inconsistency in this approach is somewhat puzzling to me.6. The sod has been installed on uneven terrain along the sides of the house, creating a steep and treacherous pathway that makes walking difficult. The incline is so steep that it poses a significant slipping hazard for anyone attempting to walk on it.

My house pricing was 805k however at the same time other friends bought it for 40-50k less, that’s a bit of concern that I overpaid somewhat compared to others and neighbors

Still in the process of trying to correct my heating system and the alignment of the speakers in the theatre room. I requested standardized information on how a 7.2 media system should be installed and the response was it was done per plans and its proprietary information and they would not share the information. Understanding mistakes are made, our washroom cabinets were incorrectly installed and they came out to fix them. We are stating that the media speakers are not installed correctly.

Love floor plan & competitive offering vs other new builders in area. Like no design options & complete design package Dislike sales contract language unbalanced favoring builder’s interest. Dislike quality of sod (grass). Dislike wood fence (maintenance).

The overall design of the home really aligned to our preference of a more modern style. The sales rep [name removed] was knowledgeable and friendly and we got in at a good price being the first in this phase of development. We met the builder manager [name removed] towards the end of development and he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs and concerns. Throughout the process I would say the lack of information to the details of the house was what we disliked the most. Since this was an inventory home, all the specs were picked out and we received the details listed in the contract but there were no color images of each spec and the website did not have spec pictures either. We were essentially taking a gamble based on an incomplete model home but it felt right and the explains were satisfactory.

Once trophy left [name removed] ranch and stopped building new homes, we have been left with too many warranty tickets needing a follow up and a common issue reported is a poorly designed HVAC system and air flow where certain bedrooms and bathrooms do not receive hot air through the vents on their High ceiling elevation plans a,b and c. [name removed] was the previous Warranty manager who ensured all issues will be fixed within an year and he is no longer with Trophy signature homes. Biggest issue is with my backyard design and is a mess as it is over sloped and kids cannot even use that backyard space and despite having paid extra for a corner lot, after tirelessly working with upper management from Trophy and Warranty managers yet there has been no resolution and this has been the most frustrating thing about Trophy builders and management and currently working with a lawyer to bring the case back to their head office.
