Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers
Frisco, TX, on Jun 28, 2023
Sales agent was slow to respond, heavily forced preferred home lender, and construction manager brushed off issues I brought up.
Frisco, on Jul 31, 2023
Warranty Response is Terrible. There is no urgency, no follow up, and in some cases no resolution.
Frisco, on Dec 28, 2023
Overall components are of low quality or flimsy. Craftsmanship is average to poor; most things are not plumb or out-of-level, and obvious short-cuts undertaken by subcontractors were not caught or improved by Trophy's construction supervisor.
Frisco, TX, on Apr 10, 2023
The purchase agreement and company procedures surrounding the PA were unclear which created unnecessary stress.
Frisco, on Jun 14, 2023
I filled out a warranty request prior to the 6 month walk through. I’ve heard nothing since then. 3 weeks with zero communication.
Frisco, on Dec 10, 2023
some materials were not well made or not of high quality
Frisco, TX, on Mar 22, 2023
It seems to be rushed a bit otherwise overall a good experience
Frisco, on Apr 01, 2023
the warranty service is very poor. Every warranty claims take a ton of follow up and a very delayed response to address the issues.
Frisco, on Sep 17, 2023
The quality is good and like the fact they are energy efficient. The warranty service requests and the response to them is very bad.
Frisco, on Nov 25, 2022
The warranty service is just an extension of the same poor builder quality.

My contract purchase price was updated with an increase of $60K exactly one business day before closing date because of a communication gap between Trophy and [name removed] home lending. I was forced to buy with no other option else my earnest money will not be paid back. This created a lot of stress and I am totally frustrated with Trophy. I will definitely file a law suit to review this unfair trade practice by Trophy. I am 200% dissatisfied with Trophy.

Firstly the quality of the kitchen tiles, cabinets and the bathroom flooring are of a terrible quality. There is nothing in the house I am amazed about.

Absolutely terrible sales lady [name removed]. Once we entered into contract, she became extremely unprofessional and dishonest. And your loan officer, was even worse, in regards to communication and rates. The worse experience we’ve had in purchasing real estate.
Frisco, TX, on Feb 28, 2023
Builders are very supportive and help us to fix all the issues reported.
Frisco, on Sep 25, 2022
Builder did not address things that were due at the time of closing. Low quality materials used specially on wiring cat5 , Messed up media room wiring. Have issues with fencing…
Frisco, on Jan 07, 2023
Walls aren’t paint matched, there are spots…still do t understand why we can’t get proper paint matching. Things like yard lines not working or leaking and not being fixed in the first 12 months without question is ….questionable for what we all paid

There is a guy called [name removed]. He is the best person that I have ever met in my property purchasing experience. Pls note he IS NOT one of the best, he is actually THE best construction/house problems contact person. Very nice to work with him.

1. Miscommunication between management and sales agent (haven't given me the closing costs that was earlier agreed) 2. No proper support from the builder when the appraisal came low 3. No communication for 2 months when the past sales agent [name removed] left the subdivision 4. Very bad experience with inhouse lender B-[name removed] mortagage 5. Very slow response on the warranty ticket, no proper SLA on when some issue will be resolved. Confusion between construction manager and warranty manager.

- the closing date was rushed to get it before end of month. That did not allow enough time to complete and finish the home. - There were so many errors in the home at the time of closing and pretty poor quality of work overall. E.g. Non uniform color, crooked drywalls, uneven texture on walls etc. - The items that were noted are taking a long time to be addressed. For the money that we paid, the home certainly fell below expectations, especially related to the quality of finish!
Frisco, TX, on Jul 30, 2022
Issues that were addressed before closing are still outstanding. The communication from project manager and area manager has been lacking and at times, untruthful. My home is at $1M, and it feels no where close to a $1M based on quality. [name removed] mentioned that Trophy homes are for buyers looking for luxury at an affordable price. I honestly don't see it. Nonetheless, I'm working with the warranty team now that my 30 days have passed, so hopefully I have a better experience with them.

I am very disappointed with the house quality of trophy signature home. The sales and builder are nice and polite.
Frisco, TX, on Jun 27, 2022
I disliked the final walkthrough and the multiple issues we had, both cosmetic and non cosmetic, after closing. Lack of attention from builder, poor service experience and poor response to issues shared during walkthrough. What we liked the best was our sales representative, [name removed] was THE BEST and extremely helpful, responsive and caring.
Frisco, TX, on Jun 10, 2022
1. Closing Date experience , not confirming until a week before of the closing date.
Frisco, TX, on May 25, 2022
Like the quality, upgrades and the communication. Dislike the delay and closing options.
Frisco, TX, on May 04, 2022
Absolutely terrible experience once we signed the contract. [name removed] made it an awful experience, by lying and being disrespectful. Terrible loan officer. Unsatisfactory “limited liability” warranty (when the defective roof you built), caused damage inside the house and I was asked to once again go through the portal and submit another application (as I already had given complete description of the problem and provided photos with the first application). And I was asked to perhaps contact our insurance company and file a claim with them! I don’t know what’s the purpose of your warranty? No one ever contacted me in regards to roof repair from your warranty department. I resorted to contacting [name removed] who unfortunately, instead of realizing the terrible mistakes, he instead gave me the above recommendations.
